Jimena está casi terminada.. pero ese "casi" jamás se termina.
Es la hora de un lubricador de cadena.... Qué es eso????
Como todos sabemos, cada 1000km más o menos, tenemos que lubricar el kit de arrastre: la cadena.
Esto supone estar muy pendientes y sobre todo dependiendo del tipo de terreno que crucemos, el polvo, la arena, etc.
Un kit de arrastre completo, además de nada barato, pesa mucho. Pensar en llevarlo es hipotecar una gran parte de un baúl y además aumentar el peso considerablemente.
Solución????? Instalar un lubricador de cadena. Un aparatito que va lubricando automáticamente la cadena según rodemos.
Su funcionamiento es muy sencillo, deja caer una gota de aceite en la cadena por minuto. Eso es más que suficiente.
La instalación? Fácil aunque complicada.. jeje. Todo depende del modelo de moto. Hay motos que en 20 minutos está instalado, pero otras... un día se hace corto...

that?? As we all know, every 1000km or so, we have to lubricate the
chain, to help it run smoother for longer.
This shows this is very important, especially depending on the type of terrain we cross, dust, sand, etc..
A full drag kit, not to mention the fact that it is not cheap, is also very heavy.
Solution??? Install a chain lubricant. A
little machine that will automatically lubricate the chain accordingly
to how much we ride. Its operation is very simple, put a drop of oil on
the chain every minute.That's more than enough.
Installation? Easy but complicated at the
same time, hehe. Everything depends on the bike model. There are bikes
that take 20 minutes to install , but for other models ... one day will
not be enough...
AM en Madrid suministra los lubricadores de cadena además de muchísimos accesorios para nuestras motos. Y lo mejor??? Que los instalan ellos mismos... Llegamos con nuestras motos, compramos el accesorio y salimos con el puesto. Se puede pedir algo mejor???

Media moto tuve que poner en el suelo para llegar a la inyección. Allí encontré la conexión necesaria para conectar el lubricador. Todo tal y como indica el manual de instrucciones.

had to put down or desmantle half of the bike to get the injection.
There I found the needed conection to be able to connect the lubricator.
All as is indicated on the instruction manual.
Una vez conectado, el resto es coser y cantar... No más de 10 minutos más y el lubricador conectado.
Ahora solo queda montar las piezas, carenados y regular el caudal de aceite y la frecuencia con la que queremos que se lubrique automáticamente la cadena.

El depósito de aceite lo cambié de posición. Creo haber encontrada una mejor y más accesible que la que indicaba el manual de instrucciones. Y sobre todo esta nueva posición es mucho más vertical, con lo que podremos llenarlo casi por completo. Eso significa muchos más kilómetros sin ocuparnos de recargarlo.
I also changed the position of the oil tank. I think I have found a
better one and more accessible than the one indicated on the instruction
manual. Above all this new position is much more upright, so we can
fill it almost completely. That means many more miles without being
worried of recharging it so often.
Trabajo concluido, lubricador instalado y listo para tener siempre a punto el kit de arrastre.
Como anécdota, cuando terminé uno de mis viajes anteriores con casi 50.000km llevé la moto a un servicio técnico oficial para una revisión general. Pedí que me cambiaran el kit de arrastre y el mecánico me dijo: "para qué si está casi nueva, seguro que la has cambiado hace poco...."

anecdote, when I finished one of my previous trips with almost 50,000
km I took the bike to an authorized service center for a general review.
I asked to change the drag kit and the mechanic told me, "why you want
it to be removed.. if it is almost new, you've provably changed it
recently ...."
