Las marcas que he ido barajando son: BMW, Suzuki, Triump, Kawasaki, Yamaha y KTM
GS800F, Vstrom 650, XC800, Versys 650, Teneré 660 y 1190 adventure.
Iré viendo todos y cada uno de estos modelos. Analizaré detalle tras detalle... y sobre todo, acudiré a "los grandes" viajeros que he conocido que me aconsejen sobre que modelo elegir....
Primera llamada a mi gran amigo Miguel de Argentina, el mejor mecánico que he conocido. Además de una grandísima amistad nos une los triunfos y sufrimientos de mi viaje por el continente americano...
Segunda llamada a otro gran amigo, Alvaro, periodista del mundo del motociclismo. Piloto experimentado y conocedor como nadie de este mundillo y sus novedades.
Tercera llamada, otro amigo del motociclismo, Paco un probador de motos, todo un piloto en activo y un conocedor del mercado de las dos ruedas.
Cuarta llamada, todo un experto del mundo del motor y otro gran amigo, Fernando de la revista "Canarias en moto".
Amigos no me faltan y expertos en este mundo tampoco. Cada uno de ellos me ha dado su "versión del asunto". Experiencias que no se pueden pagar con dinero!!!!
Cada uno tiene su gusto, sus caprichos... pero increíblemente todos coinciden en muchos detalles, y esos detalles son los que harán que me decida por una u otra moto.
Que diferencia a la elección de mi anterior moto. Ahí estaba solo. Llevaba 10 años apartados del mundo de las motos y cuando regresé me dejé llevar por las principales marcas que habían en aquel entonces...
Ahora mis amigos, mi experiencia y miles de kilómetros bajo "el trasero" me dan mucha más seguridad.
Esta vez... elegiré bien!!!
The beginning for the search
Choosing the perfect Bike for the trip is harder than it looks ... The options are many and all say they are "the best". Brands that I have been shuffling are: BMW, Suzuki, Triump, Kawasaki, Yamaha and KTM GS800F, Vstrom 650, XC800, Versys 650, 660 and 1190 Tenere adventure. I'll be watching each and every one of these models. Analyze detail after detail ... but most important, I will seek for advice I will ask "the great" travelers I've met to suggest on which model to choose .... First phone call to my good friend Miguel de Argentina, the best mechanic I have ever met. In addition to a very great friendship that keep us very close, the memories, the triumphs and sufferings we have share of my journey through the Americas ... Second phone call to another friend, Alvaro, a journalist in the world of motorcycling, an experienced pilot and knowledgeable as anyone in this world. Third call, another friend, Paco! a motorcycle tester, an active driver. Very knowledgeable about the world/market of the two wheels.
Fourth call, an expert in the world of engines and another great friend, Fernando magazine "Canary motorcycle".
I never had the absense or lack of friends and people with experience and knowledge in this world either. Each one of them has given me his "side of the story." Experiences that it can not be paid with money!! Everyone has their taste, their whims ... but curiously they all agree in many details, and those details will make me decide for one or another bike, differentiates the choice of my previous bike. There I was alone. I was 10 years away from the world of bikes and when I came back I went with the leading brands that they had back then ... Now my friends, my experience and thousands of kilometers under my "rear" have given me much more confidence.
